Brick or Stone Repair Chimney repaired on century-old home Chimney repair included tuck pointing, flashing replacement, new cap and sealer. There is no more leaking into our upstairs. Coordinating the work was weather dependent, and communication could be a bit slow, but overall, the price was fair and work was done well. John G.

Fireplace and Chimney Installation Always get three quotes We wanted to have the existing mantel and surrounding stone removed so we could showcase our high ceiling with a floor to ceiling fireplace facade. Slav, of ProModern Masonry, was one of a few to reply to our post. He was the only one willing to provide a very loose estimate based on the dimensions we provided, and a product we were interested in. Once we received the primary estimate we knew it was a job we wanted to move forward on, and invited three companies to come and estimate on it. Slav understood clearly what it was we wanted, and explained to us options we had not considered. His knowledge and professionalism was very encouraging, we knew if the estimates were at all close we would go with him. To our surprise, even with additional work (to make it all more secure) his estimate came in quite a bit less than the others. He spent two days one week prepping the space, and two days the next week placing the mantel and surrounding stone. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. If we have any masonry needs in the future we will definitely call ProModern Masonry. Barbara B.

Only reason not 5 stars is that there was some mess left behind including nails and some cement residue on the front lawn. Brick or Stone Repair Ledge blocks came loose on the side of the house. Slav saw that the mortar did not hold against the foundation. He suggested to put a mixture that would hold the ledge block from falling out. He came ready to work and finished the work in a short time.
